Jakarta Government will carry out Sudirman Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) Phase 2 revitalization in CBD Karet Sudirman area.

Jakarta Government Assistant for Development and Environment, Yusmada Faizal conveyed, initially the revitalization work was planned to be done simultaneously with 3 other JPOs in Senayan Sudirman area. But revitalization work at Karet Sudirman Pedestrian Bridge was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
"Karet Sudirman Pedestrian Bridge Revitalization is the continuation and a part of joint financing package for revitalization of 3 JPOs in Senayan Sudirman area that have been carried out before the pandemic," he stated, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Saturday (1/30).

Thus it feels shaking when crossing the bridge," he mentioned.
Moreover, JPO will be equipped with elevator to facilitate people with disabilities and road users with special needs.
"We will also widening and improving the ramps, because if the ramps or bridge stairs are too narrow and steep, it will cause long queue for Transjakarta users," he added.
Karet Sudirman Pedestrian Bridge revitalization also aimed to improve active mobility service for pedestrians and cyclists. Thus it can encourage people to prefer using low emission transports.
As a reminder of historical moment of Capital City of Jakarta, his side will install inscription to honor health workers who have sacrificed and fought against COVID-19 pandemic at Karet Sudirman Pedestrian Bridge.
