East Jakarta Mayor Monitors Limited PTM at SMA MH Thamrin

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar together with Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission E Member, M. Thamrin on Wednesday (9/1) monitored limited face-to-face learning (PTM) at SMA Unggulan MH Thamrin, Bambu Apus, Cipayung.

According to Anwar, this monitoring was carried out to ensure PTM was implemented in accordance with health protocols thus it would not create new cluster.

"Education Agency and Jakarta DPRD Commission E will evaluate PTM after running for two weeks. Whether there is new cluster of COVID-19 or not," he said.

Limited PTM in Cengkareng Implemented with Strict Health Protocols

Jakarta DPRD Commission E Member, M. Thamrin appreciated East Jakarta Government for always monitoring PTM implementation in schools. He also asked parents to ensure their children who take a part in PTM to stay healthy.

He assessed that PTM loosened students' minds after continuously carrying out distance learning. Parents, especially mothers, also feel relieved and happy because their children are starting to study at school.

"PTM is very much missed by students. They look cheerful in following it," he expressed.

Meanwhile, SMA MH Thamrin Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Elvi Usmirawati explained, on the second day of PTM, there were 24 students from class XI participated. Their subjects were Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Indonesian Language.

All students who took a part in PTM, she continued, were required to bring stamped approval letter from their parents, always wear mask, and keep their distance from each other. Their body temperature was also checked before entering school area.

During pandemic, her side closed mess that used by students to stay overnight. Total 265 students returned to their respective homes after participating limited face-to-face learning (PTM).

"So far, there is no problems in implementing PTM," she conveyed.
