North Jakarta Mayor Monitors Limited PTM at SMK Walang Jaya

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim monitored limited face-to-face learning (PTM) at SMK Walang Jaya, Koja, North Jakarta.

He informed, total 56 schools in North Jakarta carried out limited PTM starting today, both public and private schools at all levels from PAUD (early childhood education program) to SMA (senior high/vocational school) that had passed assessment from Jakarta Education Agency based on its facilities and teachers' competence through training.

"Everything complies with health protocols, 5M is running, schools are also supported by qualified facilities. Hopefully everything will run smoothly and most important thing is teacher's strict supervision thus students don't ignore health protocols to prevent new cluster," he stated after monitoring limited PTM on Monday (8/30).

SMK Walang Jaya Principal, Gatot Edi Sabekti added, before limited PTM, his side carried out trial for teaching and learning activities (KBM) in school which attended by 30 percent students.

"Total 67 teachers and 11 school staffs have been vaccinated. Moreover, 1,400 of total 1,567 students have been vaccinated," he conveyed.

He asked COVID-19 survivors to be vaccinated immediately at least three months after recovering and people with comorbidity to adjust to vaccine that can be used.

"Hopefully all can be vaccinated immediately thus they are more protected from exposure to COVID-19 and limited PTM can run smoothly, safely, and healthily," he added.

Meanwhile, one of students in tenth grade of SMK Walang Jaya, Jafar Shodik admitted that he was very happy to be able to take a part in limited PTM at school today.

"It's nice to be able to meet with my friends. Hopefully, 100 percent students can study together at school," he expressed.
