In KBT area, there were 1,000 fruit trees planted consisting of 500 cepedak avocado trees and 500 mango trees. This tree planting program was carried out to restore East Jakarta.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Acting Head (Plt), Ali Nurdin explained, all fruit trees planted in KBT area were from Plant Nursery Center Unit and Jakarta KPKP Agency's Plant Protection.
Plants used for this trees planting program came from grafting and budding method. Those plants had been also certified and had purple label. It showed that the plants could produce high quality fruit. Then later it could be used to plant seeds by taking the shoots.
"Avocado and mango trees that we plant today can bear fruit in the next 2-3 years. Hopefully it will produce high quality fruits," he said.
