15 South Jakarta SDA Personnel Repair Collapsed Retaining Wall in Jati Padang

Total 15 personnel from South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency repaired collapsed retaining wall of Sarua River at RT 08/04, Jati Padang Urban Village, Pasar Minggu.

We have repaired the collapsed retaining wall by installing river stones

Coordinator for retaining wall repair, Amuh Setiawan mentioned, the collapsed retaining wall was 1.2 meters high with 30 centimeters thickness and 30 meters long. Repair has been carried out since last Friday (9/24) by closing the channel temporarily and installing river stones.

"Four days ago, we have repaired the collapsed retaining wall by installing river stones to prevent it from being flooded to resident's houses," he conveyed, Monday (9/27).

RW 04 Jati Padang Urban Village Head, Mohammad Wasito explained, Sarua River's retaining wall had collapsed since a week ago around 17:00. Because of this incident, many residents' houses were flooded due to overflow water from the river.

"We appreciate SDA Sub-agency for their quick response in repairing it, thus residents' houses are not flooded anymore," he said.
