Bridge Connecting Two Urban Villages in Tamansari is Under Repair

West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency repaired connecting bridge in Tamansari Sub-district. This repair was conducted for the safety and comfort of people who use this bridge.

Bridge repair is carried out for the safety and comfort of residents

Tamansari Sub-district Bina Marga Unit Head, Selly Sapta Budiyana mentioned, the bridge that crosses Ciliwung River connects Tangki Urban Village and Mangga Besar Urban Village. From three existing bridges in the region, two of them have been repaired last month.

"Currently, one bridge is under repair. It is a connecting bridge that connects Jalan Tangki Lio RT 04/04 Tangki Urban Village and Jalan Mangga Besar Lima RT 10/03, Mangga Besar Urban Village," she explained, Thursday (9/30).

She informed, three bridges which previously repaired have various width around 1.6-2.5 meters and length 10-15 meters.

Those three bridges were repaired to follow up request from local residents because many parts were damaged, from floor to barrier.

"Bridge repair is carried out for the safety and comfort of residents," she asserted.

Tamansari Sub-district Bina Marga Unit's Field Coordinator for Bridge Repair, Ull Albab conveyed, repair was carried out by installing iron as high as 90 centimeters as barrier on the right and left sides of the bridge. Then, its base was elevated with cement castings that have been installed with iron frame.

"We deploy 17 joint personnel from Tamansari Sub-district Bina Marga Unit and Bina Marga Sub-agency. This repair has touched 80 percent. It is estimated to be completed by the end of this week," he stated.
