Green Open Space Construction on Jalan Letjen Suprapto Reaches 60 Percent

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency is currently building green open space (RTH) on Jalan Letjen Suprapto, around ITC Cempaka Mas Shopping Center area. The current progress has reached 60 percent.

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's City Park and Forest Section Head, Amri Ramadhan said, his side has built reservoir that covers area of 560 square meters and green open space as wide as 1,119.84 square meters in 2,617.15 square meter land. This green open space will be equipped with park and social interaction space.

"Reservoir construction has been completed in September. Now, we grow various plants and build sidewalk thus when crossing this area, pedestrians can enjoy their surrounding. Overall, construction progress of green open space has reached 60 percent," he explained, Thursday (10/7).

North Jakarta Temporarily Closes All Green Open Spaces

After building sidewalk, his side will continue to arrange park by planting around 15 thousand seeds of ornamental plants such as red pampas grass, costus, lantana saudi, ornamental ginseng plants, and mexican sword plants.

"Besides, we also plant two kamboja fosil trees and six ketapang kencana trees and 8 different trees. Hopefully this green open space can be used by residents," he mentioned.
