Facing Rainy Season, Central Jakarta LH Prepares 200 Dump Trucks

Central Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency prepared various things in facing this year's rainy season. One of them is preparing hundreds dump trucks to transport garbage carried by flood.

Currently we are focusing on several flood-prone areas

Central Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, Marsigit conveyed, his side had prepared pre-flood and post-flood measures. For pre-flood, his side deployed personnel who will be on standby for 24-hours, especially in every floodgates. While for post-flood measures, his side prepared 200 dump trucks to transport garbage.

"Water Agency UPK personnel will always monitor situation in every floodgates. They will be on guard for 24 hours. Currently, garbage collected at Manggarai Floodgate is still normal, only about ten tons. But, when rainy season arrives, it can reach hundreds tons of garbage," he explained, Friday (10/8).

His side prepared to deploy hundreds dump trucks, consisting of small and large-sized dump trucks as well as 300 personnel.

"Currently we are focusing on several flood-prone areas, such as Bendungan Hilir and Karet Tengsin where Krukut River is located," he informed.

His side also prepared additional personnel from LH Unit in each sub-districts.
