132 IMB Offenders in North Jakarta Fined

As many as 132 people were brought to misdemeanor trial at North Jakarta District Court, Thursday (11/27). The offenses they did were not having and or not processing building permit in accordance to Bylaw No. 7/2010 on Building Permit (IMB). Thus, they are obligated to pay fine for about Rp 1.5 million-Rp 10 million.

The total of fine collected is Rp 339,000,000

Head of Controlling Section for North Jakarta Building Control Sub-Department, Isbandi, said these 132 people are the result of Building Judicial Operation held since early this year until this month. In details, 34 offenders in Pademangan Sub-District, 30 in Koja Sub-District, 26 in Tanjung Priok Sub-District, 25 in Kelapa Gading Sub-District, and 17 in Penjaringan Sub-District.

“The total of fine collected is Rp 339,000,000,” he told.

No Building Permit, Four-story Building Demolished

Bambang (35), one of the offenders, admitted shocked with the verdict applied to him. This resident of RW 03, Kalibaru Urban Village, was obligated to pay fine as much as Rp 2.5 million. Even so, he promised to pay the fine and will not repeat his mistake.

“I got info that the fine was only around Rp 1.5 million, but why now I should pay Rp 2.5 million,” he lamented.

For information, the amount of offenders this year is lower than last year where there were 128 offenders. In details, 40 offenders in Tanjung Priok Sub-District, 25 in Penjaringan Sub-Districts, 22 in Kelapa Gading Sub-District, 15 in Cilincing and Pademangan Sub-Districts, and 4 in Koja Sub-District. The total fine collected was Rp 215,500,000.
