As many as 100 Satpol PP personnel of Thousand Islands, took part in a Disaster Preparedness ceremony led by Satpol PP Director, Bernhard E Rondonuwu at Karya Island Field, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, on Friday (10/22).
According to Bernhard E Rondonuwu, Director of Satpol PP, it was in order to prepare personnel, including potential human resources and equipment, to be alert in anticipating disasters that might come at any time.

He hoped that they could be a motor and role model for the Satpol PP in the territorial waters of Indonesia.

Rahmad Efendi Lubis, Thousand Islands Head of Satpol PP added, potential disasters focused were floods and strong winds in the rainy season.
"In total, there are 133 personnel in Thousand Islands. We want to be more motivated and more alert and ready to anticipate disasters in the region that can come at any time," he stated.
