Pinang Ranti Orange Troops Standby for Floods

Some 62 PPSU members or called orange troops from Pinang Ranti Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta are ready to face the potential for flooding during the rainy season. This preparedness was demonstrated in a ceremony held in the urban village office yard, on Thursday (10/7).

On this occasion, I urge you all to work more optimally, especially in handling floods

Pinang Ranti Urban Village Head, Haris Indrianto said, the ceremony was conducted to re-check existing personnel and equipment, as well as to provide guidance to work harder and more enthusiastically.

North Jakarta Vice Mayor Urges PPSU to Improve Performance

According to him, they have several main tasks in overcoming floods, such as handling water channels, fallen trees and garbage in the community, including evacuating flood-affected people.

"Flood-prone areas are currently located in RW 04 (RT 01-08) and RW 05 (RT 03 and 06)," he explained.

He continued currently his party has two rubber boats, 12 jacket buoys, 12 ring buoys, mines, generators, tents for disaster posts, etc.

"All equipment has been checked and confirmed to function properly," he stated.
