Nakertrans Sub-agency Holds Patchwork Creation Training

The Central Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration (Nakertrans) and Energy Sub-agency collaborates with PT Bank J Trust Indonesia to hold a patchwork creation training in the meeting room of the Central Jakarta Education Sub-agency for Region I, Jalan Tanah Abang I. It will be held in three days ahead.

Central Jakarta Nakertrans and Energy Sub-agency Head, Fidiyah Rokhim expressed, it was held to provide skills to the trainees to have job opportunities independently or in groups. By so, it could improve living standards, as well as open up new job opportunities and improve the economy.

"Our target is job seekers or beginner entrepreneurs who are domiciled in Central Jakarta. From the selection stage, we'll take 45 participants from eight sub-districts. We want them to open up business opportunities in the context of reducing unemployment and poverty in Central Jakarta," he expressed, Monday (10/25).

He also hoped that they could create entrepreneurs with quality products and improve the standard of living for families. Moreover, the PT Bank JTrust Indonesia would cover the training.

Central Jakarta PKK Team Chairwoman, Ucu Jamilah who opened the training uttered, for some people, patchwork included waste from the clothing industry or useless convection. Yet it would have a high selling point and be useful. It could be processed into products with high selling value such as bags, brooches, doormats, carpets, sandals and so forth.

"I'm proud, as the target of this training is for people who are looking for work and PKK women in each region are also involved in it," she said.

She added, there is the right strategy in a patchwork home-based business, among others, creating a unique design or model, being able to add to the attractiveness of the packaging, being able to take advantage of certain moments and events, as well as following popular trends and doing promotions in various places.
