Ciracas Launches New Era Posyandu Activities

So far, posyandu activities have been vacuum. Now it has been reactivated, but must meet strict health protocols

The Ciracas Sub-district, East Jakarta, launched the New Era Posyandu activity at the multi-purpose field, Jalan Wungkang, RT 09/03, Rambutan Urban Village, on Thursday (10/28).

In this New Era Posyandu activity, health workers from the urban village puskesmas assisted by TP PKK cadres, record and check health, as well as measure the height and weight of toddlers, including provide additional food aid in the form of fruits, milk, snacks and others to toddlers.

Ciracas Sub-district Head, Mamad said, it was reactivated after a long hiatus due to the Cocid-19 pandemic.

"So far, posyandu activities have been vacuum. Now it has been reactivated, but must meet strict health protocols," he stated.

When the number of COVID-19 was high, he explained, it was done virtually. Parents of toddlers were asked to fill in the data in a google form and weigh their toddler themselves. But, it was not easy to do, as many parents did not understand how to fill in data in google forms.

Rambutan Urban Village Head, Ikhwan Muhammad Ali added, the number who attended the activity were 20 toddlers and 50 posyandu cadres from all RWs in their area. Aside that, it also serves counseling and consultation.

"Surely, it will be an example and a barometer for other posyandu," he concluded.
