From January to November 3, 2021, South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency had conducted emission tests on 1,749 gasoline and diesel-fueled cars.

South Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, M. Amin explained, there were 8 of 1,525 four-wheel gasoline-fueled vehicles that had undergone emission tests during January-November 3 period that didn't pass the test. As for diesel-fueled vehicles, there were 104 of 225 vehicles that didn't pass the emission test.
"Emission test is important to reduce air pollution in Jakarta, due to exhaust fumes from vehicles," he added, Thursday (11/4).
