West Jakarta Prepares 105 Personnel to Face Floods

As many as 105 personnel of West Jakarta Social Sub-agency have been alerted to assist in handling flooding in the rainy season.

They are on standby to help flood-affected residents

West Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Suprapto said, those personnel involved were from Disaster Preparedness Social Officer (PSKB), Emergency Alert Team (Tagana), Observation and Control Service (P3S) and Disaster Alert Village (KSB).

"They are on standby to help flood-affected residents. They will be deployed at flooded points, one of their duties is to set up public kitchens," he expressed, Monday (11/15).

Jakarta Prepares Personnel and Equipment for Floods

His sub-agency also made sure all supporting facilities and infrastructure were in good condition and ready to be used to help with flood management. One of them was a unit of public kitchen car to supply logistic aid, including one unit of three-wheeled motorcycle, one unit of dirt bike, and two units of rescue car.

There were also 12 refugee tents and four family tents, as well as other necessities such as blankets, toddler equipment, service clothes, toiletries, and so forth.

"If it is emergency, we can send more personnel to the field," he said.
