“True, advertisement tax is cut to 50 percent. It is valid starting November 11 this year until November 11, 2015. With this policy, we hope the advertising entrepreneurs would post advertisement again,” stated Head of Jakarta Tax Services Department, Iwan Setiawandi, Friday (11/28).
According to Setiawandi, the advertisement tax hike in last April caused the advertisement tax revenue declining because many taxpayers, especially advertising entrepreneurs, were objected.
City Tax Revenue till November Rp 22.93 T“They were not ready for many reasons. Because of that, our tax revenue was declining since they were no longer posting advertisement,” he explained.
Until this month, tax revenue from advertising sector only reached 31 percent or Rp 740 billion from target of Rp 2.4 trillion.
“Indeed, we cannot achieve the target this year. But, there is still one more month, so we’re trying to reach Rp 1 trillion,” he said.
