Progress of Crossing Channel Construction on Jalan Jati Bunder Reaches 50 Percent

Progress of crossing channel construction on Jalan Jati Bunder, RW 14, Kebon Melati Urban Village, Tanah Abang Sub-district, Central Jakarta has reached 50 percent. It was targeted to be completed this week.

This crossing channel is built to follow up proposal from Kebon Melati Urban Village

Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resources Task Force Head, Eli Menawan Sari conveyed, crossing channel is built along 6.5 meters with width and height of 0.6 meters. The construction has been carried out since last week.

"This crossing channel is built to follow up proposal from Kebon Melati Urban Village, moreover its existence is important to stop inundation when it rains ," she conveyed, Tuesday (11/16).

In this project, her side deployed 5 personnel equipped with one breaker, one generator set, two crowbars, and one club hammer.

"In the process, we are constrained by cables and pipes that cross the crossing channel. But so far, we can handle it," she mentioned.

Her side expected the crossing channel can minimize inundation when heavy rain falls.
