Central Jakarta Baznas Bazis Distributes Assistance for COVID-19 Orphans

Central Jakarta Government and Central Jakarta Baznas Bazis distributed fund assistance to orphans whose parents died due to COVID-19. The assistance was given to 297 recipients at Central Jakarta Mayor Office's Multipurpose Room, Jalan Tanah Abang 1, Gambir.

Central Jakarta Baznas Bazis Acting Coordinator (Plt), Ali Ridho said, fund assistance of Rp 500 thousands was given to each recipient aged 0-22 years.

"Total 297 recipients whose parents died due to COVID-19," he informed, Monday (11/22).

According to him, this assistance was given as a form of Baznas Bazis's empathy thus they can continue their education. The donations were collected from ASNs, communities, entrepreneurs, and others.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma stated, the assistance was very meaningful to ease burden on the community, especially children who had lost their parents due to COVID-19.

"This assistance is not much, but hopefully it can help them a little in meeting their daily needs, especially for school needs," he mentioned.
