Loksem 66 Matraman will Be Revitalized Soon

Central Jakarta administration is collaborating with Jakarta Baznas Bazis to soon revitalize the temporary shelter (Loksem) 66, which is located next to Jami Matraman Mosque, Jalan Matraman Dalam II, Pegangsaan Urban Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Hopefully, it can be realized as soon as possible

According to Bakwan Ferizan Ginting, Assistant for Central Jakarta Economy and Development, a review was carried out regarding strengthening the design concept of the Loksem 66.

"Once this is done, we will build a park there, including revitalizing the sidewalks. Our concept is modern to attract more visitors," he expressed, Tuesday (11/2).

He assessed, it would be gradually executed in a bid to keep the 45 existing traders able to sell.

"We want this place to be integrated, as it is close to the historic Jami Matraman Mosque," he exclaimed.

By doing so, it would look tidier and look more modern. We also plan to provide coaching for traders in the near future.

Loksem 66 Matraman Dalam Caretaker, Zaenal admitted that he supported and welcomed the project considering its location is near Jami Matraman Mosque.

"Hopefully, it can be realized as soon as possible," he hoped.
