North Jakarta Government disseminated Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 97/2021 on Completion of Fulfillment of Facilities and Infrastructure Obligations in Housing and Settlement Areas to developers and local RW heads.

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim conveyed, Gubernatorial Regulation No. 97/2021 is an answer to public complaints, especially in housing area where the developer has not submitted obligations or is no longer active. Thus, requests for maintenance of public and social facilities through Musrenbang cannot be carried out by government.
"This gubernatorial regulation simplifies and shortens the process of handing over developer obligations to the government, just through city level. If it has been handed over to regional government, then the local government can automatically take care of the assets and the results will be felt by the community," he said after socialization at North Jakarta Mayor Office, Monday (11/29).
Jakarta Government and DPRD Agree on Regional Regulations Regarding APBD 2022North Jakarta Government's City Planning and Environment Division Head, Ardan Solihin added, the implementation of this Pergub was focused on roads and channels construction which had been frequently proposed by public through Musrenbang.
"Referring to this, Pergub can cut the bureaucracy in licensing technical documents for asset handover from provincial level to city level and facilitate work of Regional Development Control and Supervision Team (TP3W) in improving infrastructure proposed by residents," he mentioned.
Meanwhile, City Development Division Head of Jakarta Secretariat (Setdaprov) City Development and Environment Bureau, Tri Pandianto explained, purpose of the issuance of Gubernatorial Regulation was to accelerate fulfillment of obligations both land, road, and drainage constructions in residential areas in developer areas that have Land Use Designated Permit (SIPPT) or not.
"We want to realize housing environment which equipped with facilities and infrastructure that has been been demanded by residents as well as implementation of Governor's vision and mission which are to make Jakarta developed and make citizens happy," he stated.
