40 Illegal Immigrants Secured from Apartment in Tanjung Duren

West Jakarta Immigration officers secured 40 foreigners from Royal Mediterania Garden Apartment, Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, Sunday (11/30). They were caught due to not having complete documents to stay in Indonesia. Three of them are Morrocan women who allegedly worked as commercial sex workers (PSK).

According to Head of Monitoring and Control Section for West Jakarta Immigration Office, Ruhiyat Tolib, the apartment is allegedly being used as a place to stay of foreigners who do not have stay permit.
“We hold raid to control the presence of foreigners who visit and stay in Indonesia. When we raided the apartment, we caught 40 illegal immigrants whose three of them are young Moroccan women who are allegedly sex workers,” he stated.
The initials of those three women are IM (17), NI (18), and NR (19). They rented the apartment for a month over recommendation from a Moroccan.
“We suspect them as import sex workers. This is because when we checked, they can only show their passports and flight tickets. They claimed coming to Indonesia as tourists,” uttered Tolib.
After the raid, all of those illegal immigrants were taken to West Jakarta Immigration Office to be recorded their data. Afterwards, they will be sent to foreigner quarantine in Kalideres.
