Anticipating Flood, West Jakarta Gulkarmat Prepares 26 Rubber Boats for Evacuation

Anticipating flood, West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency prepared 26 rubber boats and 230 personnel to help evacuate residents.

We deploy 230 personnel every day who are divided in three work shifts

West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Abdul Cholik mentioned, rubber boats were prepared in 8 sub-districts, sub-agency offices, and Gulkarmat posts. In addition to rubber boats, his side also prepared 21 outboard boats.

"As many as 26 rubber boats and 21 outboard boats have been prepared to help evacuate residents in case of flooding," he stated, Wednesday (12/1).

His side had also prepared 4 submersible pumps, 10 quick response units, 1 multipurpose unit, 40 pumps, 1 heavy foam unit, as well as 1 amphibious truck, 1 heavy duty truck, and 1 ambulance.

"For personnel, we deploy 230 personnel every day who are divided in three work shifts," he explained.
