Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of December 4, 2021

Jakarta Government continues to control COVID-19 pandemic. Not only implementing 3T, COVID-19 vaccination is also being promoted to priority groups. However, community participation is still needed to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols.

13,796 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 48 positive results and 13,748 negative results

Given that COVID-19 vaccination can only reduce the impact of exposure, there is still a possibility of COVID-19 transmission if people don't follow health protocols. It can be seen from positive cases that are still fluctuating and now tend to increase. It needs cooperation from all sides to break the transmission chain.

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out to 15,502 specimens. From that amount, 13,796 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 48 positive results and 13,748 negative results. Besides, antigen test was also conducted to 50,395 people today with 13 positive results and 50,382 negative results.

"This target has been exceeded by Jakarta for some time. In the past week, 97,306 people were tested using PCR. While number of people tested for PCR in Jakarta has now reached 698,765 per million population," she explained as quoted from PPID Press Release.

Number of active cases is decreased by 20 cases thus in total it reached 382 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated). Moreover, for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 864,135 cases. It should be noted that positive antigen test results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all were reconfirmed by PCR.

Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection, as well as other forms of PPKM violations, such as in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. By registering online, people can choose time and place of vaccination, as well as conduct online health pre-screening test.

Vaccination sites can be checked through google maps app. Only by writing 'vaksin COVID-19', people can get information about vaccination site locations and how to get there.
