Pumps and Personnel Alerted in Tanjung Priok to Anticipate Flooding

We send one mobile pump and two floating pump plus ten personnel in these three flood-prone areas

The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has mitigated and handled flooding in Tanjung Priok Sub-district due to increased rainfall since Monday (12/6) afternoon.

Deny Tri Hendarto, Executing Unit Head of Tanjung Priok Sub-district SDA said, it carried out from yesterday until this morning in Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal's Post 3 area, Jalan RE Martadinata and Jalan Gaya Motor.

"We send one mobile pump and two floating pump plus ten personnel in these three flood-prone areas," he expressed, Tuesday (12/7).

Those personnel were instructed to clean up garbage and mud in gutters and water channels.

"We're already on standby before the flood occurs. If the rain intensity is high and it causes flooding, we will handle it immediately," he stated.
