The North Jakarta administration has mitigated by preparing five mobile pumps plus personnel to handle flooding caused by tidal waves.
According to Ali Maulana Hakim, Mayor of North Jakarta said, since three days ago, the high tide has been around 250-265 cm.

"Similar action has also been done with the placement of personnel, evacuation, social aid, preparation of evacuation points to post-tidal handling," he explained.
He added, a number of tidal wave-prone areas were in RW 08 and on Jalan RE Martadinata, Ancol Urban Village; RW 01, Kapuk Muara Urban Village; and in RW 22, Pluit Urban Village.
"Hopefully, the elevation of the sea wall can be completed as a whole thus this rob does not happen again," he hoped.
