Arriving in Lumajang, Jakarta Directly Distributes Logistics to Villagers

The Jakarta Disaster Response Collaborative Task Force Team, finally arrived at Wira Bhakti Sports Center (GOR), Lumajang, East Java, on Tuesday (7/12) morning, at 8 AM. After that, they brought logistical aid to the GOR for immediate distribution.

They got a warm welcome from Lumajang Regency Regional Finance Management Agency (BPKD) Head, Sunyoto; Lumajang Regency Transportation Agency Head, Yudha Nugraha; and Lumajang Regency BPBD Logistic Division Head, Wawan Hadi S.  

Lumajang Regency Regional Finance Management Agency (BPKD) Head, Sunyoto appreciated and thanked the Jakarta administration and the people of Jakarta who had given their empathy, solidarity, and concern to Lumajang people. He said, the aid was very useful and helped lighten villagers' burden.

Jakarta Sends Logistical Aid to People in Lumajang, East Java

According to him, logistical aid provided was according to the needs of the villagers. "On behalf of the government and the people of Lumajang, we thank you for your help. Hopefully, all of your goodness is accepted by the God and Jakarta is kept away from all calamities and disasters," he stated, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Jakarta BPBD Acting Head who also serves as Jakarta Disaster Response Collaborative Task Force Team Chairman, Sabdo Kurnianto said, there were about 19 types of logistical aid given to villagers. These included mattresses, velbeds, pillows, bolsters, fans, blankets, tarpaulins, tents, and other household and individual necessities.

"Hopefully it can be useful. This is a form of our collaboration and concern, as disaster is our collective responsibility," he hoped.

As for the information, since Mount Semeru erupted on Saturday (12/4) afternoon, Jakarta immediately took steps to quickly map out the types of aid and collect logistics on Sunday (12/5). The release of the team and logistical aid was on Monday (12/6) morning, and arrived in Lumajang on Tuesday (12/7) morning.
