23 Neighborhoods in Central Jakarta will Be Revitalized Next Year

The Central Jakarta administration is about to revitalize about 23 neighborhoods (RWs) in 2022, which aims to create a good, comfortable, safe, and beautiful city for the community.

It will set aside about Rp 80.5 billion through APBD budget

Planning Section Head for Housing and Area Supervision, Rendy Pramudia Aji said, as many as 12 urban villages spread over 23 neighborhoods would be revitalized. It had been discussed at the city level and conducted through a community action plan (CAP) or had been reviewed by the demographic agency under the University of Indonesia (UI) by involving residents.

"It will set aside about Rp 80.5 billion through APBD budget," he expressed, Wednesday (12/8).

Of 23 neighborhoods, he detailed, some were in Tanah Abang Sub-district, starting from RW 07 Karet Tengsin, RW 14 Kebon Melati, RW 08 Petamburan, RW 09 Kebon Kacang, and RW 04 Kampung Bali.

Then in Menteng Sub-district, there were RW 03 and 08 Menteng, RW 01 and 06 Pegangsaan. As for Sawah Besar Sub-district, there were RW 02 and 04 Mangga Dua Selatan, RW 01 and 02 Kalianyar, including in RW 02, 03, 04, 06 and 08 Kampung Rawa, RW 04, 06 and 07 Tanah Tinggi in Johar Baru Sub-district, as well as RW 04 in Galur Urban Village.

"It will be carried out starting from road repairs, channel repairs, public street lighting (PJU), vertical gardens, renovation of community halls, sports field repairs, making murals to providing CCTV," he said.
