28,615 Tourists Flock to Thousand Islands on October 21 - December 14

The Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency has noted that as many as 28,615 tourists visited Thousand Islands on October 12 to December 14, 2021.

Puji Astuti, Sub-agency Head of Thousand Islands Parekraf detailed, 28,265 were domestic tourists and 350 were foreign tourists.

"We continue to apply health protocols in the tourism sector, either in resorts or residential islands," she expressed, Wednesday (12/15).

To anticipate tourist visits during Christmas and New Year holidays, strict monitoring would be conducted by involving regional apparatus organizations (OPD) in a bid to optimize crowd prevention and compliance with health protocols.

"The rules are still the same, every visitor must show a digital vaccination record via the government's mobile app PeduliLindungi, not crowding and wearing protective masks in public areas," she asserted.
