PPKUKM Agency: Free Halal Certification for 5,000 Jakpreneur Products Next Year

The Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency is about to continuously provide free halal certification assistance for 5,000 Jakpreneur products in 2022.

This is very important to provide certainty and consumer confidence regarding the products sold by Jakpreneur

Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, Agency Head of Jakarta PPKUKM said, the target for halal certification assistance next year will increase significantly from 2021 with the number of 1,035 MSME products that are certified halal.

"This is very important to provide certaint y and consumer confidence regarding the products sold by Jakpreneur," she expressed, Wednesday (12/29).

PPKUKM Agency Targets 1,000 Halal Certified Jakpreneurs

She explained, the cost to propose this halal certification varied between Rp 2, Rp 4 to Rp 10 million, depending on the product.

"That's why, we are here to provide free halal certification assistance for MSMEs," she explained.

According to her, the management of this halal certification would also be easier and faster, including assistance to meet the necessary requirements

"We want all of their products to be accepted by the community, their business to grow and be able to absorb more workers," she stated.

She added, Jakpreneur registrants at her agency as of September 22 had touched 221,526 people with 143,341 of whom had attended training or entered Phase P2.

"For those who have completed Phase P7 or capital, there are about 3,415 Jakpreneurs," she said.
