5,163 Damaged Road Points in Central Jakarta have Been Repaired

In order to provide safety and comfort of road users, Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency had repaired 5,163 damaged road points along 15,551 meters along January-December 2021.

Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency Road Section and Bridge Section head, Yudha Catur Suhartanto stated, road maintenance was carried out to follow up residents' requests via complaint centers, CRM, e-mail, social media, and monitoring results carried out by personnel on the field.

"Damage on roads are often caused by inundation when heavy rain falls and crossed by high-tonnage vehicles. Repair is carried out by patching the damaged parts," he explained, Thursday (12/30).  

Damaged Roads in Gambir Being Repaired

According to him, categories of roads which repaired were neighborhood roads, arterial roads, collector roads, and local roads. In 2020, there were 4,010 road points repaired in Central Jakarta.

In detail, there were 1,355 damaged road points in Tanah Abang Sub-district, 947 points in Gambir Sub-district, 776 points in Sawah Besar Sub-district, 425 points in Senen Sub-district, 620 points in Kemayoran Sub-district, 596 points in Menteng Sub-district, 365 points in Cempaka Putih Sub-district, and 79 points in Johar Baru Sub-district.

"In repairing those roads, we use hot mix and cold mix asphalt based on level of damage," he mentioned.
