Central Jakarta Mayor: Stay Home for New Year's Eve

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma has encouraged residents to stay home for New Year’s Eve.

We will guard in crowd-prone areas, including restaurants and cafes or nightclubs

According to him, Central Jakarta administration has cooperated with army/police to conduct monitoring in terms of crowd during New Year's Eve.

"We will guard in crowd-prone areas, including restaurants and cafes or nightclubs," he expressed, Friday (12/31).

He expressed, if there were crowds and violations of health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19, action would definitely be taken.

"We will follow the rules. However, we still prioritize persuasive and humanist methods in carrying out these actions," he explained.

He added, the focus of monitoring would be on Jalan Sudirman-Jalan MH Thamrin, Senayan and Kemayoran areas.

"To do it, we have teams from city level, sub-district and urban village," he said.
