Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is building new water channels in Kampung Baru, RT 02/03, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.
It has been started since today and is targeted to be complete tomorrow
Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said, it was aimed at anticipating flooding due to heavy rain and tidal floods, locally known as rob.
"This channel has 32 meters length using a 20-inch paralon. It also features a 40x40-centimeter control tub to filter waste before it flows into the central drain," he expressed, Monday (1/10).
