Locals and Personnel Work Together to Clean Up Mud in Tanah Tinggi

Around 120 joint personnel and local residents work together to clean water channels alongside Jalan Tanah Tinggi, RW 07, Tanah Tinggi Urban Village, Johar Baru Sub-district, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (1/2).

This is our routine activity to prevent flooding

Central Jakarta Secretary, Iqbal Akbarudin expressed, it was participated by personnel from Bina Marga Sub-agency, Parks and City Forest Sub-agency, Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Environment (LH) Sub-agency, PPSU assisted by karang taruna and locals.

"This is our routine activity to prevent flooding," he stated.

Mud on Ciliwung Riverbank in Gambir Urban Village Cleaned

He explained, most channels were full of mud and had to be demolished for optimal result.

"I appreciate it, as many locals help us today," he said.

He added, this action was not only effectively to minimize flooding but also strengthen the sense of mutual cooperation between residents to create a clean environment.

RW 07 Chairman, Alfalah (45) expressed his gratitude for the clean-up action in his zone held by the Central Jakarta administration.

"Locals are very active in mutual cooperation. In the past, this area was prone to flooding, but we have managed to handle it with the dredging of mud in Sentiong River and routine cleanup. This is very helpful," he admitted.
