Certificates Given to Five Healthy Schools in North Jakarta

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim handed over certificates to the five best schools in Healthy School 2021 program which held through collaboration between Bina Masyarakat Peduli non-governmental organization (LSM), North Jakarta Education Sub-agency Region I and II, Health Sub-agency, and PT. Unilever Indonesia Tbk.

The first place was won by SDN Semper Timur 03 Pagi. While SDN Semper Barat 03 Pagi in the second place, SDN Rawa Badak Selatan 03 Pagi in the third place, SDN Semper Barat 07 Pagi in the fourth place, and SDN Semper Timur 05 Pagi in the fifth place.

According to him, Healthy School 2021 program was carried out to promote clean and healthy living (PHBS) to children by implementing it directly in order to improve quality of students health.

"Congratulation to five best schools, hopefully they can be role model and motivate other schools to carry out PHBS," he mentioned, Tuesday (1/11).

He hopes schools will teach students about seven integrated clean and healthy living habits and make them a habit, namely washing hands with soap, eating variety of balanced and safe nutritious foods, drinking germ-free water (cooked/boiled water), brushing teeth in the morning and at night, hygienic toilets and bathrooms, managing sorted waste in schools, and preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) by eradicating mosquito nests.

"If it is done by students from an early age, we are positive that it will form a good behavior," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, LSM Bina Masyarakat Peduli Executive Director, Muhammad Salahudin Hakim added, Healthy School 2021 program was carried out on September 2021 and attended by 50 schools in North Jakarta. It was started with socialization, training, practice, and periodical reports regarding clean and healthy living behavior.

"From five nominees, we have selected five schools that run the program well. So, it should be appreciated by providing certificates and health facilities in schools," he closed.
