167 People Join Blood Donation to Commemorate Decade of Rekan Indonesia

Celebrating a decade of its annual campaign for health rights, the Indonesian Health Volunteers (Rekan Indonesia) held a blood donation event at the Jakarta PMI Office, Jalan Kramat Raya, Central Jakarta.

The event which held on Saturday (1/15) was officially opened by Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza) accompanied by Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma and PT Jakarta Tourisindo Finance Director, Zulfarshah.
On that occasion, Jakarta Vice Governor, Ariza appreciated the action, where it was very useful and beneficial for these fellows.

He added, blood donation was very important, because of the limited blood stock during the pandemic.
"We hope it can add to the blood supply in order to help others who need a blood transfusion," he explained.
Jakarta's Rekan Indonesia Chairman, Martha Tiana Hermawan expressed his gratitude to all those who helped in realizing blood donation today.
"200 out of 223 registrants attended today and only 167 were able to donate blood after passing through screening process," he stated.
As for the information, today's blood donation was realized through collaboration with Jakarta PMI, Baqoel.com, Perumda PAM Jaya, PT Transjakarta, PT Jakarta Propertindo, PT Bank DKI, PT Jakarta Tourisindo, and Jakarta PPKUKM Agency.
