Three Jakarta Hotels Ready to Quarantine International Travelers with COVID-19

The Jakarta Experience Board (PT Jakarta Tourisindo) says three hotels in Jakarta are now ready to accommodate self-isolating coronavirus cases for international travelers confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Hopefully, it can meet people who have difficulty finding quarantine centers

Those three hotels are namely Grand Cempaka Business, D’Arcici Al Hijra and D’Arcici.

Jakarta Experience Board Director, Novita Dewi said, thus far, only a few hotels have opened their facilities as quarantine centers for international travelers, moreover they need to get good service while in Indonesia.

"There are still many patients who have difficulty finding hotels designated as quarantine centers compared to those that provide quarantine packages. Thus, there is a huge gap in quantity and quality. That's why we opened our hotel in Jakarta, especially Grand Cempaka Business Hotel which is a 4-star hotel," she expressed, Sunday (1/16).

In implementing quarantine center at Grand Cempaka Business, they have collaborated with Mayapada Hospital about medical needs and to ensure international traveler's health is in good condition.

"Hopefully, it can meet people who have difficulty finding quarantine centers," she explained.

She added, the hotels had prepared around 350 beds for those exposed to COVID-19.

"They are now conducting a comprehensive inspection of facilities such as internet connection, cable TV, air conditioning and other facilities. We are committed to providing the best service," she stressed.

It is conduced as a form of concern from Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Pangdam Jaya Command Chief Maj. Gen. Untung Budiharto and other parties in managing the Jakarta pandemic situation.

"Those other parties are BNPB Head Maj. Gen. Suharyanto, Task Force Expert Team Chief Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, Health Ministry, PHRI, Airport Task Force Team and PT Angkasa II," he stated.

As for the information, the Jakarta Experience Board has made various experiences in its contribution to handling the pandemic.

In line with the company's core business, namely hospitality, they offer a dedicated hospitality service in times of crisis. Since March 2020, they have been accommodating and serving Jakarta health workers in six their hotels.

They are also a pioneer and a benchmark for business actors who want to provide similar services, including the hospitality provider at RSDC-19, Wisma Pademangan emergency hospital for COVID-19 patients and Nagrak low-cost apartment (Rusunawa).
