Dispora - JXB to Provide Quarantine Facilities for Jakarta Athletes

The Jakarta administration teams up with the Jakarta Experience Board (PT Jakarta Tourisindo) to provide facilities for all athletes and administrators on duty at PON XX Papua to undergo a five-day quarantine.

Our hope is they can rest comfortably and return to their respective homes in good health

Around 600 athletes and administrators who return from Papua would will gradually undergo quarantine at Grand Cempaka Business and D'Arcici Sunter hotels.

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Head, Ahmad Firdaus said, it was the administration response, following a circular from BNPB regarding the necessity for athletes and administrators to quarantine before returning to their respective homes. They would be greeted and picked up from the airport to the hotel.

"After four days of quarantine, they will pass through a medical check-up and a PCR test," he expressed, Thursday (10/14).

JXB President Director Novita Dewi explained, she was ready to accommodate quarantine needs. As a hotel operator who has experience in hospitality in crisis, JXB already has a good SOP to serve athletes and administrators during quarantine.

"Data collection will be done first, then direct them to the room. The facilities provided are rooms with a capacity of two people per room, including breakfast, lunch and dinner," she explained.

She added that it was a form of appreciation for their struggle and efforts to minimize the spread of the Covid-19.

"Our hope is they can rest comfortably and return to their respective homes in good health," she closed.
