Early February, Channel Normalization on Jalan Borobudur Completed

The channel normalization work on Jalan Borobudur, RT 11/02, Pegangsaan Urban Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta that is being carried out since November 2021 is targeted to be completed in early February 2022.

It has touched 50 percent or around 80 meters so far

Maintenance Division Head, Achmad Daeroby revealed, its normalization was carried out up to 170 meters length with 60 centimeters width and 70 centimeters width.

"It has touched 50 percent or around 80 meters so far. We do excavation again, as the previous channel that used concrete was damaged," he expressed, Monday (1/17).

He explained, it was aimed at following up on community reports complaining of flooding in front of Jalan Borobudur park, especially when it rains.

"The channel is built using U-ditch in a bid to smoothen and accommodate water in large quantities. To execute it, we involve around 15 personnel plus one mini excavator," he added.
