East Jakarta Involves CSR for Jl. Mayjen Sutoyo Sidewalk Arrangement

The East Jakarta Government will cooperate with third party through corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to arrange a 157.86-meter-long sidewalk in front of UKI Hospital, Jl. Mayjen Sutoyo, Cawang, Kramat Jati.

The area will be equipped with well-arranged garden, pedestrian access, decorative lights, and so on

East Jakarta City Administration Assistant, Eka Darmawan stated, CSR would be involved to build park along the sidewalk and install decorative lights in the park.

"The sidewalk arrangement is not only carried out by technical units, but also CSR because it needs funds. The area will be equipped with well-arranged garden, pedestrian access, decorative lights, and so on," he explained, Friday (1/21).

In the middle of this 6-meter-wide sidewalk, pedestrian access will be built as wide as 1.2 meters and its right-left sides will be used as parks, including the remaining land next to the UKI Hospital's guardrail.

In this arrangement work, technical units were also involved, such as City Park and Forestry Sub-agency for arranging park, Bina Marga Sub-agency for building pedestrian access, and Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency for cleaning channels and preparing excavated soil from reservoir to build the park.

"We also plan to install PJU lamps to make the area brighter. Besides, we also propose to install decorative lights to make it attractive at night," he added.

He mentioned that his side would encourage local residents, especially TP PKK cadres, to use the area for urban farming program. Thus, the residents can feel that they also own the park and take a good care of it.
