The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour parts of Jakarta on Sunday (1/23).

Remember, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit South and East Jakarta at noon and in the late afternoon

"Remember, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit South and East Jakarta at noon and in the late afternoon," stated BMKG's official site.

At noon, rain with light intensity is expected to fall in West Jakarta; moderate rain in South and East Jakarta; cloudy in Central, North Jakarta and Seribu Islands.

In the evening until at dawn, most regions will be cloudy, but light rain would pour in Seribu Islands.

Temperatures in five regions and Seribu Islands are predicted at 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 70 to 95 percent.
