Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 8

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 8.

The number of people tested last week has reached 367,215

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 5,627 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 80,162 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 57,810 specimens. 47,982 of them were to diagnose new cases with 10,817 positive and 37,165 negative results. She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. "This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 367,215, while 824,388 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 910,435people have been cured with a cure rate of 90.6% and 13,872 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.4%, while Indonesia's death rate was 3.2%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 23.1%, while in Indonesia was 11.4%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,150,747 people (120.5%), with a proportion of 71% being residents of Jakarta and 29% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 3,078 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,036,334 people (99.5%), with a proportion of 73% being residents of Jakarta and 27% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was as many as 23,214 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 836,846 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 20,656 people.
