Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 18

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 18.

The number of people tested last week has reached 369,303

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 3,551 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 77,213 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Friday (2/18).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 77,504 specimens. 57,003 of them were to diagnose new cases with 8,189 positive and 48,814 negative results. She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. "This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 369,303, while 874,044 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1,020,564 people have been cured with a cure rate of 91.8% and 14,301 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.3%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.9%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 19.3%, while in Indonesia was 12%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,173,208 people (120.7%), with a proportion of 71% was residents of Jakarta and 29% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 2,298 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,153,468 people (100.7%), with a proportion of 74% was residents of Jakarta and 26% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was as many as 11,155 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 1,098,044 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 26,275 people.

Based on the daily reports on February 17, there had been a total fine of Rp 1,400,000 from the raid results during PPKM Level 3 period against residents without masks.
