Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 15

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 15.

The number of people tested last week has reached 357,352

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 341 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 83,969 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Tuesday (2/15).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 58,236 specimens. 45,132 of them were to diagnose new cases with 9,482 positive and 35,650 negative results. She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. Of these cases, 984,861 people have been cured with a cure rate of 90.9% and 14,135 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.3%, while Indonesia's death rate was 3%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 22%, while in Indonesia was 11.9%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,164,196 people (120.6%), with a proportion of 71% was residents of Jakarta and 29% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 2,461 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,119,792 people (100.4%), with a proportion of 73% was residents of Jakarta and 27% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was as many as 10,446 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 1,019,274 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 21,769 people.

On the other hand, the Jakarta administration continues to provide isolation beds and ICU beds in handling COVID-19.

Until February 13, 2022, of the 140 hospitals that treat COVID-19, for isolation beds of 6,697, the percentage of occupancy was 59% with a total of 3,964 isolated patients.

Meanwhile, for 875 ICU beds, the percentage of occupancy was 46% with a total of 402 ICU patients.
