Dispusip Holds Virtual Jakarta Reading Concert

The Jakarta Library and Archives Agency (Dispusip) holds a virtual Jakarta Reading Concert. It is a part of the celebration of the Read Jakarta 2022 Quarter 1 program which was carried out throughout January 2022.

This is an effort to make reading a culture that is passed down from generation to generation

Dispusip Head, Wahyu Haryadi congratulated the participants who completed the Jakarta Reading Challenge in 2022 Quarter 1 for 30 days.

"This is an effort to make reading a culture that is passed down from generation to generation," he expressed, Thursday (2/24).

3,800 Books Being Distributed to 38 Reading Locations in North Jakarta

He explained the Jakarta administration had set reading activities as one of the Regional Strategic Activities (KSD) since 2019. In the activity, his party collaborated with National Library, other SKPD, BUMD, community, private sector, PKK, and literacy activists.

"Many people take part in this activity. Hopefully, this movement will continue," he said.

He also advised that all participants of Reading Jakarta 2022 Quarter 1 should be involved again in Reading Jakarta 2022 Quarter 2.

"This is very interesting, it can be followed by all students in Jakarta and outside Jakarta. There are currently 17 provinces. In 2021, it was 13 provinces," he closed.
