Health Sub-agency Continues to Optimize Dengue Prevention

The South Jakarta Health Sub-agency continues to optimize the prevention of dengue fever, especially in the rainy season like today.

We also encourage residents to become independent

M Helmi, Sub-agency Head of South Jakarta Health expressed, he had collaborated with all other stakeholders such as PKK cadres, Jumantik, and Dasawisma cadres to improve monitoring of mosquito larvae in their respective environments.

"We also encourage residents to become independent Jumantik to monitor mosquito larvae inside and outside their respective homes," he expressed, Friday (2/25).

Covid-19 Prevention Socialized to Tomang Residents

According to him, fogging would be carried out after receiving reports in stages through RT and RW.

"The health center team conducted epidemiological research before fogging to ensure that other residents in the vicinity were also positive for dengue fever," he said.

He stressed that it is able to eradicate dengue mosquitoes, but not for mosquito larvae.

"That's why we invite locals to eradicate mosquito nests," he added.

In the meantime, from January to February 2022, it is noted that there are about 237 dengue cases in South Jakarta with details of 184 cases in January and 53 cases in February.
