Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 27

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 27.

911,619 people have undergone the PCR tests

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 5,006 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 43,874 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Sunday (2/27).

Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of February 26, 2022

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 44,046 specimens. 36,117 of them were to diagnose new cases with 3,957 positive and 32,160 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 43,504 were tested, with 2,384 positive results and 41,120 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. Of these cases, 1,109,056 people have been cured with a cure rate of 95% and 14,609 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.3%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 12.8%, while in Indonesia was 12%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,405,011 people (123%), with a proportion of 70% was residents of Jakarta and 30% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 21 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,420,104 people (103.3%), with a proportion of 72% was residents of Jakarta and 28% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was as many as 15 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 1,271,510 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 31 people.
