Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 23

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 23.

896,606 people have undergone the PCR tests

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 462 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 62,008 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Wednesday (2/23).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 65,301 specimens. 53,089 of them were to diagnose new cases with 7,295 positive and 45,794 negative results. She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. Of these cases, 1,071,054 people have been cured with a cure rate of 93.3% and 14,466 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.3%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 14.7%, while in Indonesia was 12%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,399,443 people (123%), with a proportion of 70% was residents of Jakarta and 30% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 2,700 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,396,049 people (103.1%), with a proportion of 72% was residents of Jakarta and 28% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was as many as 9,435 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 1,193,513 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 25,553 people.
