Transjakarta Returns to Operate at 100 Percent Capacity

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has implemented 100 percent of passenger capacity in all Transjakarta services.

The capacity has been applied 100 percent starting today, but it still being socialized

Previously, they operated at 70 percent of normal capacity.

It was implemented to follow up on the Jakarta Transportation Agency Head's Decree No. 145/2022 on Technical Guidelines for Managing Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities During PPKM Level 2 Coronavirus Disease 2019.

PT. Transjakarta Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Acting Head (Plt), Angelina Betris said bus capacity adjustment would be effective starting Monday (3/14) with a three-day socialization period on March 11-13, 2022.

"The capacity has been applied 100 percent starting today, but it is still being socialized," she mentioned, Friday (3/11).

Along with the implementation of 100 percent capacity, all safety distance markings installed on bus stop floors, passenger seats, and buses would be removed and the number of handgrips would be adjusted to the needs of standing passengers.

"Transjakarta operating hours do not change during PPKM Level 2 period, which is 05:00 to 21:30, while 21:31-22:30 for night service (Amari)," she explained.

Even though Transjakarta buses operate at normal capacity, she continued, passengers' safety and comfort remain a top priority.

Therefore, Transjakarta is still operating with strict health protocols on the bus and at the bus stop. Such as requiring all passengers to show their printed/digital vaccination certificate via the PeduliLindungi app, JAKI app.

They are also required to wear masks and have their body temperature checked before entering the bus stop.

"We urge the entire community to obey the regulations for safety and comfort of all," she stated.
