Transjakarta to Launch Transjakarta Bus Academy Program

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) continues to improve its quality in various aspects, including Human Resources. One of them is by holding the Transjakarta Bus Academy program for all drivers.

PT. Transjakarta Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Acting Head (Plt), Angelina Betris stated, the Transjakarta Bus Academy program was included in Transjakarta Business Plan for the 2021-2025 period.

In this program, all drivers will be educated about important things related to bus operation, such as driving knowledge and techniques that are safe, anticipatory, and economical, both in Transjakarta corridors and when operating the fleets in mixed-traffic conditions.

Moreover, drivers will be given character education thus they can drive better, obey traffic regulations, and serve customers excellently.

"Transjakarta Bus Academy is expected to become a standard of excellence in realizing a competent driver profession," she mentioned, Tuesday (3/8).

She hoped that in the future, Transjakarta Bus Academy could be a pioneer of driver school that can produce competent and highly competitive graduates. In addition, it can be a place to develop Transjakarta driver's competence in curriculum, syllabus, and learning modules.

"Driver is a crucial aspect whose competence must be improved to build a better safety management system. Therefore, we are trying to prepare driver training module and curriculum through Bus Academy Program," she said.

Soon, she added, Transjakarta will hold a socialization and Hearing Meeting (RDP) with stakeholders related to the Transjakarta Bus Academy program and Special Work Competency Standards (SKK-K) Drafts which are currently being prepared.

"Through SKK-K, drivers are expected to develop their competence, not only in aspects of knowledge and skills but also in aspects of behavior when they are driving," she asserted.

Transjakarta Bus Academy program is a form of the company's consistency in improving operational security and safety aspects for Transjakarta users. It is also done to follow up on the recommendation of the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT).

"Hopefully this program can run as soon as possible and as expected. Therefore, we can provide optimal service to customers. Not only optimally in terms of infrastructure, but also the human resources involved," she closed.
