1,622 South Jakarta Residents Caught in Mask-wearing Operation

The South Jakarta Satpol PP has noted that as many as 1,622 people have been caught in the mask-wearing operation held in ten sub-districts, South Jakarta from March 7 to 13.

South Jakarta Satpol PP Head Ujang Harmawan said 1,610 were subject to social works sanctions and 10 had to pay administrative fines.

He furthered the restaurant was also the target of the operation.

"We give five warning letters to the owners and 399 other restaurants have complied with the applicable regulations," he explained.

Aside that, the officers also did sweeping to 107 companies, where one received a warning letter and 106 complied with the rules.

"We then also give warning letters to nine business places, while 179 other business places have complied with the rules,' he stated.
